As part of their Religious Education topic, Year 2 are learning about Judaism. Year 2 have been naming the different beliefs and practices of Judaism, understanding what it looks like to be a person of faith and are beginning to use key words and vocabulary related to the religion.
To deepen their knowledge and give them first-hand experience of a place of worship, a visit has been organised to the local Synagogue, Beth Shalom on Wednesday 12th October.
Please could you ensure your child is wearing suitable walking shoes, the correct school uniform and has a weather appropriate jacket.
Please send a water bottle, snack and packed lunch to school on the day. If you would like school to provide a packed lunch please contact the office to arrange which sandwich filling your child would like: cheese, tuna or ham, by Friday 30th September at 12pm. You will need to provide a snack and water bottle.
A contribution of £2 is required for this trip to cover the cost of the transport. Please bring in a named envelope to the class Teacher.
Year 2 will return to school for a late lunch.
