11th October: Year 3 visit to Ely Stained Glass Museum all day Ely Stained Glass Museum Year 3
In Year 3, we are learning all about the Light. As part of this Science topic, we have arranged a visit to the Stained Glass Museum in Ely Cathedral on Tuesday 11th October. The children will have the opportunity to learn about the nature of light and how it behaves through a series of problem-solving and engaging tasks. They will conduct their own absorption and reflection experiment, deepen their knowledge of prisms and the visible light spectrum and make a kaleidoscope.
We will be travelling to and from the museum by train, so please could you ensure your child is wearing suitable walking shoes, the correct school uniform and has a weather appropriate jacket.
We will be eating lunch at the Museum. Please send a drink, snack and packed lunch to school on the day. If your child is entitled to free school meals a packed lunch will be provided, but please contact the office to organise which sandwich filling your child would like: cheese, tuna or ham.
We will return to school by 3:15pm.
We ask for a contribution of £10 to cover the cost of the workshop and transport to be paid via PAY 360.
