Visit to London
In both our Geography and History topic this half term, we have being learning about Europe the EU and Brexit, as well as how parliament works and how rules are decided.
To support this learning we will be visiting the Houses or Parliament on Tuesday 17th September. This includes a guided tour of the House of Commons, House of Lords and the Prince’s Chamber. We will then take part in a workshop focusing on laws and debating.
If that wasn’t enough, we will also be seeing London from above with a trip on the London Eye – which fits in nicely with the book we have been focusing our English around called “The London Eye Mystery”.
The children will need to be at school to by 8.20, as will be leaving at 8.30 to catch the train into London and will return to school for approximately 19.30. Children need to be collected from school, unless you give you express permission for them to make their own way home, but it will be from school, not “dropping out” on our return journey.
