Children are welcome to have a school lunch, a packed lunch or to go home at lunch to eat. School dinners are provided by Cambridgeshire Catering Service (CCS) and are cooked on the premises daily by Mrs Day and her dedicated team. Our School dinners are made from fresh produce and always include vegetables, fresh fruit and vegetarian options. Children are encouraged to eat a healthy and balanced diet. If your child has any specific dietary requirements please contact the school.
Lunch money should be sent to school each Monday (or the first day of term) in a sealed envelope, clearly labelled with the child’s name and class, with cheques made payable to Ridgefield Primary School
School lunches are £2.25 per day. All money should be paid in advance. It is helpful if families with more than one child taking school lunches could bring their payments in separate envelopes. Except in cases of emergency, children must either have school dinners for a week at a time.
Pupils who qualify for pupil premium are eligible for free school meals. You can find information on how to apply by clicking here.
KS1 children will be offered a piece of fruit or vegetable at playtime in the mornings, provided by the National School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme.
