The Easter holidays have arrived. This can only mean one thing (well, quite a few things, I concede - but it certainly includes): this year's Easter Hat Parade has taken place!
This is the event to which every teacher looks forward eagerly all term - with an enthusiasm almost as great as that generated by an impending Ofsted visit. Parents too, keenly await the opportunity to work into the bleary-eyed night helping their fractious offspring construct a hat even more incredible and unstable than the one they slaved over last year. After all, Easter eggs are clamouring to be won, hip-shimmying reputations are at stake etc. etc...
We must however apologise for the highly regrettable antics of that pink-shirted fool who once more frightened several of the younger children, stood on both Miss Kounnou's little toes and muscled into the photoshoot of the winning children. He is old enough to know better, and we promise to take steps to suitably restrain him next year.
Many sincere thanks to Sainsbury's once again for their kindness and generosity in judging the hats and donating the prizes!
