The competition will open on Friday 4th December and then close on Sunday 13th December. The winners will be announced in Assembly on Monday 14th December.

Sunday 6th December

Monday 7th December

Christmas shopping day (Reception and Nursery) – This day is an annual favourite! More details can be found below!

Santa sports – a kind of circuit training round robin which we will set up in the hall for each class to complete, then it will be cleaned down before the next class bubble. Children will wear their PE kits for this. Santa hats are optional, but encouraged.

There will also be a cross country run for children in KS2.

Tuesday 8th December

Christmas shopping day (Years 1, 2 and 3) – This day is an annual favourite! More details can be found below!

Santa sports continued – see above

Wednesday 9th December

Money Mile – Which house can make the longest line of coins? Your child can bring a named envelope of coins to school from Monday 7th December onwards. On Wednesday 9th December all the coins will be placed in a line (one line for each house, within each class). These lines will then be measured. All the house lines from across the school will be added together to give 4 totals. The longest lines wins the glory for their house.

As an added bonus each class gets to keep the money from all 4 of its lines. This is instead of a cake sale – so the money raised will go to support the additional resources a class might purchase in the same way they would with a cake sale.

Thursday 10th December

Uniform sale (done in the same way the previous one was done)

Friday 11th December

It is national Christmas Jumper Day in order to raise funds for Save the Children. Children can wear their favourite jumper to school on this day. If you wish to make a donation to Save the Children, a bucket will be placed on front gate.

Sunday 13th December

Deadline for the Art and Craft competition

Monday 14th December

Announcing the winners of the Art and Craft competition

Tuesday 15th December

Christmas shopping day (Years 4, 5 and 6) – This day is an annual favourite! More details can be found below!

Wednesday 16th December

Dolce Christmas Lunch Our traditional Christmas day meal. Whilst these will still be served in the classrooms on this day, we will rearrange the furniture in the room to give it a more festive feel. The Friends will also supply Christmas crackers! You will need to order a Christmas meal for your child in advance of the day.

Raffle drawn online. More details to follow on the website.

Window Wanderland – Each class will produce a festive window display, which will be lit from within. You are invited to take a socially distanced stroll around the outside of the building to view the window displays.

This will be carried out in the community too – watch the website for more information on how to get involved.

Thursday 17th December

Class Parties We will hold all the class parties. You child can wear party clothes to school on this day – not bring clothes to change into. Party food will be provided by school and Friends.

Friday 18th December

A non-uniform day to celebrate the end of term! Wear your own clothes to school and watch a Christmas Movie in class!

We will be ending the festive period with a videoed Christmas performance too! This will be uploaded to Dojo and Tapestry.

This year, Christmas Shopping Day will be a little different. In order to protect each bubble, we will be running each day within the class bubbles. Each child can buy one gift and these gifts will be supplied (plus spares so that all children have a choice!) by the Friends.

Children will be asked to supply a donation if possible which will be brought in an envelope and collected in class.

Each class group will have a 'shop' set up in their classroom and each child will have a turn at choosing a gift.

Years 3 - 6 will wrap their own presents using paper and tags provided by Friends. The teachers and TAs will help as necessary.

Year R - 2 will choose either to wrap their gifts with paper provided or else use a gift bag. The teachers and TAs will help as necessary.

Nursery gifts will be wrapped by teachers and TAs with the paper provided or in gift bags.

Gifts will be taken home on the day where they can be placed somewhere and left for 48 hours. All money and spare gifts will be collected at the end of the day by one of the Friends committee who will leave it for 48 hours before counting.

  • There are no events for the next 10 weeks.
