Symphony No. 4H
Year 4H’s interpretation of Beethoven’s Symphony No.5 is based around the call and response theme throughout the piece. The children imagined that the different types of weather were speaking to each other. In the beginning section there is the recurring motif which they interpreted as thunder and lightning crashing down on Earth, followed by the strings of the violins, which could be the rays of sunshine. The children interpreted all these sounds and ideas through expressive movement.
